NorthStar Arts:
Inspiring Dreams, Building Futures, Changing Lives

Have you ever stood on a stage and felt the adrenaline of performing in front of an audience, the joy of building community through art, and the pride of creating something beautiful together?

NorthStar Arts provides a fun, supportive outlet for creativity, performance, and community for performers of all ages and experience levels.

What Do We Offer?

Young Artist Conservatory

For our 5-18 year old performers, we offer semester long productions that rehearse 2 afternoons/evenings per week where everyone who signs up is automatically in the show!

Productions for All Ages

Each summer and winter, we put on large productions for all ages performed on local, professional stages.

Disney Tours

We offer an annual trip to Walt Disney World with an unmatched opportunity to perform LIVE on the beautiful Waterside Stage at Disney Springs.

What are the Benefits of Choosing NorthStar Arts?

FULL On-Stage Performances

Both our productions for all ages and the youth program culminate in a fun performance on stage with sets, lighting, microphones, make-up and costumes. We pull out all the stops, finding the best possible stages, sets, costumes, and materials to create a quality experience for both performers and audiences.

Experienced directors and instructors

Our teaching staff and directors have experience in music, drama, and choreography and are passionate about sharing the love of theatre with all performers.

High morals and standards

Our productions are directed with positive, encouraging styles, and our performances will always be an excellent choice for all ages to attend.

All students are in the show

By enrolling in our youth program, you will be in the cast of your show and you will receive acting, singing, and dancing training no matter what your experience or skill level. Every enrolled student has a part in their show, from major to minor to ensemble roles.

Conveniently located

We partner with local libraries, churches, and schools across the Wright/Sherburne County area for production rehearsals and performances. Students come from distances for training and find carpool opportunities with other NorthStar parents.

We care about each performer's personal goals

We have performers who do theatre for pleasure and community, skill-building, and preparing for a professional career on the stage. Students of NorthStar have gone on to act at Children’s Theatre, Stages Theatre, Lyric Arts, Chanhassen Dinner Theater, Guthrie Theatre, community theaters and in their local high school and college productions.

My daughter is about to begin her 5th play with Northstar Arts. We have looked at other theater companies but continue with Northstar arts for so many reasons including the family environment, everyone is so welcoming and kind! My daughter is building confidence, learning so much, and having a blast along the way ! Thank you Northstar arts!
Jennifer Melberg
Northstar Arts and Eileen and team are wonderful. My daughter has really advanced in her singing and acting since being involved with Northstar Arts. Northstar Arts includes everyone in casting as well. Keep up the great work.
Kim Spoden
They are an amazing and welcoming group. No one is to young. My daughter was just in Beauty and the Beast with them and there was a little girl of one of the actors that was about 4 standing to the side dancing and sing along. Eileen asked her if she wanted to be on stage. The girl was so excited and couldn't wait. They found a place for her to be in the play and part of the group.
