DiVine:
The Narrator of the story. She is a living wild grapevine.

Mowgli:
The protagonist, a young boy raised by wolves in the jungle. He is often referred to as the "Man Cub" and navigates the challenges of both the jungle and human society.

Bagheera:
A black panther who serves as Mowgli's protector and mentor, teaching him the laws of the jungle.

Baloo:
A sloth bear who is Mowgli's friend and mentor, known for his laid-back attitude and wisdom about jungle life.
​
Shere Khan:
a vicious man-eating Bengal Tiger who is the only recurring animal villain and the archenemy of Mowgli. Despite being born with a crippled leg and derisively nicknamed "Lungri" (The Lame One), Shere Khan is ruthless, aggressive, violent, arrogant, self-centered, and sees himself as the rightful lord of the jungle.

Kaa:
An Indian rock python who is both a mentor and a potential threat to Mowgli, known for his hypnotic abilities.
Coils:
Kaa's coils. They create the illusion of the snake, singing in Kaa's song.

The Dawn Patrol:
Col. Hathi:
The leader of the elephants, who upholds the laws of the jungle and is a symbol of strength and wisdom, if forgetful at times.​
Gajjini:
Col Hathi's wife, who reminds him of things he forgets.
Hathi Jr.:
Hathi's son and Mowgli's friend.
Toomai:
An Elephant Soldier in the Dawn Patrol.
Mysa:
An Elephant Soldier in the Dawn Patrol.
Mang:
An Elephant Soldier in the Dawn Patrol.
Kala Nag:
An Elephant Soldier in the Dawn Patrol.

The Seeonee Wolf Pack:
Akela:
The old leader of the wolf pack that adopts Mowgli, representing loyalty and leadership.​
Raksha:
Also known as Mother Wolf, she is Mowgli's adoptive mother who fiercely protects him.​
Moti:
Mowgli's adoptive father, also a member of the wolf pack.
Grey Brother:
the oldest of Moti and Raksha's cubs, he loves his siblings, including Mowgli, and sees no difference between his human brother and his wolf siblings, viewing Mowgli as much a wolf as himself.
Rama:
One of the wolf cubs, a younger brother to Grey.
Vihaan:
The runt of the litter, he doesn't let that slow him down.
Leela:
The lone sister of Moti and Raksha's cubs from a previous litter. She is every bit as fierce and loyal as her brothers. She becomes the leader of the Seeonee Wolf Pack after her grandfather Akela's death.

Shandi:
A human girl who represents Mowgli's connection to the human world, while feeling connected to the Jungle herself.

The Bandar-Log:
Also called The Monkey-folks, they are a society of monkeys who are treated as pariahs for their scatterbrained anarchy. They kidnap the very young Mowgli, who is rescued by Bagheera and Baloo.

King Louis:
The leader of the Bandar-Log, he believes Mowgli has knowledge of man's red flower.

The Vultures:
Paul, John, George, and Ringo:
They are a quartet of vultures based on The Beatles. Their song, "That's What Friends are For" is a standout moment in the show.​
