The Art of Make Believe
Frequently Asked Questions
The Royal Performance Company’s Art of Make Believe Balls are
always full of magic, art, and fun! Here are a few tips and details
to help you and your child get the most out of the experience.
Can my child dress up for the event?
Absolutely! Every little princess, prince, pirate, hero, villain, fairy, etc. is welcomed and encouraged to come in his or her favorite attire. We know how much fun the adults have playing dress-up as well, but ask that you refrain from coming dressed as a specific character. Instead, see this as a chance to come dressed as your most glamorous self.
What should I bring with to the event?
Please have your official invitation ready upon check-in. All guests MUST have an official invitation to attend. Our only exception is children UNDER 12 months of age.
Will food be available?
There will be a Candy Counter and Cupcake Corner, both of which have only sweet treats. (Sugar/gluten free options can be made available upon request). There will not be a meal or balanced snack provided, so please plan accordingly.
Anything else I should know?
We recommend arriving 15-20 minutes early, that way you won’t miss one magical minute by waiting in line to check-in.
The Art of Halloween Ball is tailored towards children ages 3-10 years old. While children under 3 years old are welcome to attend, they must have an invitation. As mentioned previously, only guests UNDER 12 months will be allowed in for free, when attending with a paid adult.
Where can I find a list of the events included for the ball?
Each guest, or party of guests, will be sent an official invitation. The invitation will include an itinerary for the events of the day. You can also look at the Ticket Packages section and the Events page of our website for more details on what is included.
How long does the event last?
The Royal Performance Company Art of Make Believe Ball is 1.5-2 hours long, depending on which package you have chosen.
My child has never met a costumed character, what happens if she is scared?
Our characters work hard to reassure and welcome each child, but we understand some children may take a little while to warm up to us. Explaining to your child ahead of time that they will be meeting their favorite characters, as well as telling them about the songs, dances, crafts, etc. that are planned, will help the child feel less overwhelmed. Making sure your child is rested also helps.
