Conflicts

Please list any conflicts dates you may have with the rehearsal schedule in the provided box below.  The tentative rehearsal schedule is found on the www.northstararts.org webpage.

Please review the schedule and put all known conflicts dates on this document. If you have more than three conflicts for rehearsal, please contact northstararts.minnesota@gmail.com before registering. No conflicts are allowed for tech week and performances.

*NOT ALL ACTORS ARE CALLED TO ALL REHEARSALS*

Larger roles = more rehearsal time.

Workshops Breakdown

As you make your selection, please note that if you wish to participate in our Spring production of "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe", you are automatically enrolled in the Audition Prep Workshop, the Acting Skills Workshop, and "The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe" all for the inclusive price of $199.

The Audition workshop is Jan 22-24 you register and choose one of the days to attend. Select a monologue (several are suggested on our website) of your choice from those suggested or one from another source. You will also read responsively from the script with other actor who register for the workshop. Our Artistic Director will provide you with both aural and written feedback and answer any questions you may have about the audition process. She will also explain what directors look for in an audition and how that will vary from show to show and character to character.

The acting workshop is week nights from Jan 31-Feb 14th and will focus on character development, relationships between characters, pacing of a character’s lines, and the character arch of each character and how each character fits into the overall telling of the story.

Actors may choose to register for either or both workshops. If an actor elects to register for both workshops they may, if they choose, be cast in and be a part of the show. There is a significant discount actors who select the whole package which includes both workshops and participation in the show.

Volunteer Fee

Each youth performer's family is required to submit a volunteer check of $400 for the first child, and $25 per each additional child, no later than the first rehearsal. Actors will not receive a script, or schedule, without a volunteer check deposit. All parents *MUST* help with set strike to get their volunteer check returned.
